Why I Built This

A note on what this site is for and what I hope to share here.

I’ve wanted to build a website for myself for at least a decade. But like with any project I undertake, I don’t do it without a lot of thought and deliberation. Wanting this site to be perfect is one of the factors that has delayed it for so long, but I also would get stopped by the logistics (i.e. where to host it, what to call it, and how to customize it.)

Claude Code helped me create a dream website in days. I prompted it to create several designs when Claude Design came out (2 months ago), then fed my design to Claude Code to build. What took me the longest to do was improve the actual content because when push came to shove I realized I didn’t know the purpose of this website.

My intent was for it to be of a professional nature, but then wondered how it differed from my LinkedIn. I found myself asking what more I wanted to share and realized I needed to push for a more unpolished version of myself. Because future me needs to let go of not starting from fear of non-perfection.

I am already very thoughtful about who I share with and when. I do what I say I will do, and because of that, I am careful about what I commit to. My word is gold, so I do not give it lightly.

So pushing this live for the world to see is very scary. And freeing.

May you find it as revealing as I have that it is not perfect and that is ok :)
